What bills.casa does
It reads the bills you send it, files them under your properties and shows what changed.
Your account
One account belongs to one person, and that person is an adult: you must be 18 or older to open one. The service reads the bills of a household, and those come to the adult who runs it. An account we learn belongs to a child is closed and everything in it removed. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
Your documents are yours
You keep every right to what you send, and you promise you may send it: a bill for your household, even if other people’s names are on it, is yours to upload. What is read out of your bills is yours too. The service itself — its code, its texts, its name — stays ours.
Figures are read automatically
Software reads a bill and software can read it wrong. Check a figure against the document before you act on it — every number keeps the line it came from.
The service must do what we say it does
What these terms, the site and the page “How it works” say the service does, it must do — and keep doing after updates. If it does not, you have what your country’s consumer law gives you: a fix, a lower price, or the end of the plan with the money back for the time not served. Write to us first; that is the quickest way.
Plans
The free plan is free, for as long as you like. Plus and Pro are subscriptions paid through Stripe: the price shown is the whole price for the period you choose — one month or one year — including any tax due; it is charged again each period until you cancel, which you can do at any time on your plan page with one press, and the plan then stands to the end of the period already paid for. If a price changes, we write to you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then. You may withdraw within 14 days of your first payment: write to us within those 14 days and the payment comes back in full, whether or not you used the service.
Stopping
Delete your account whenever you like — it takes everything in it with it, and any subscription ends with it. We may close an account at once if it is used to attack the service or to break the law. For any other reason we give 30 days’ notice by e-mail, so that you can export what is yours first, and refund the time already paid for.
What we do not promise
We are liable to you as the law of your country says, and nothing here takes away a right you have as a consumer. Within what that law allows, we are not liable for a decision taken on a figure that was not checked against its document, nor for the service being unavailable for reasons outside our control. We do not promise that it is never down.
Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes, and we write to you at least 30 days before the new terms apply to you. You can leave before then. At your next sign-in you are asked to accept the new terms; the version you accepted, and when, is kept with your account.
Which law, and where to complain
These terms follow the law of England and Wales — without touching the rules of the country you live in that protect you as a consumer and cannot be set aside, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Complaints go to —; we answer within 14 days. You may also turn to the consumer authority of your country: in Latvia the PTAC (ptac.gov.lv), in Lithuania the VVTAT (vvtat.lt), in Estonia the TTJA (ttja.ee).
